LANE CLOSURES IN CONFORMANCE - For any lane closure(s) in conformance with the PLC map/schedule, a written notification must be submitted to the District Work Zone Traffic Manager (DWZTM) for concurrence with copies to the District Public Information Officer (PIO), the Highway Management Administrator (HMA) and the District Construction Administrator (DCA). The notification must be submitted, in writing, three (3) calendar days (excluding weekends and holidays) in advance of the lane(s) closure. No lane closures will be permitted during Holidays or Special Events. Traffic flow must be monitored and lanes re-opened if any queues occur that exceed the allowable queue threshold as defined in the current policy regarding Traffic Management in Work Zones.
LANE CLOSURES NOT IN CONFORMANCE - For any lane closure(s) not in conformance with the PLC map/schedule, a written request must be submitted to the District Work Zone Traffic Manager (DWZTM) for review in accordance with the current policy regarding Traffic Management in Work Zones. Requests for lane closures not in conformance with the PLC map/schedule take additional time for ODOT review, consideration and approval or denial. Submit requests as early as possible after the apparent need has been identified. Such requests may subsequently require submission of additional information, analysis and/or data and may require submission to ODOT Central Office for consideration by the Maintenance of Traffic Exception Committee (MOTEC) and/or Project Impact Advisory Council (PIAC). Requested lane closures not in conformance with the PLC map/schedule shall not occur until, and unless, approved by ODOT.
